To support our UK customers we are looking to expand our dedicated sales team with a highly motivated and independent Territory Manager for UK Mid. Primary mission will be to market, sell and support Clontech and Takara Bio products in academic as well as biotech and pharmaceutical accounts in the Midlands and Northern England.

Job description:

• Manage the selling process of Clontech and Takara Bio products within the territory
• Maintain existing and develop new customer relationships through individual customer contacts including key opinion leaders and references in the life science market
• Define action plans to achieve targets defined in the yearly sales budget and establish regular sales forecasts
• Plan, write and follow-up price offers and tenders
• Identify opportunities, organize and actively participate in field activities like scientific seminars, workshops, trade shows, exhibitions, etc.
• Monitor and report on market developments and competitor activities and provide relevant management information
• Maintain and update regularly the customer and prospect database by using the Customer Relationship Management program
• Communicate and attend meetings with peers and with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business and organisational development
• Attend trainings, meetings, webinars and other educational events to maintain and develop relevant technical knowledge and sales skills

Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in a Life Science discipline with lab experience in molecular and/or cell biology
• Strong people interaction skills
• Sales experience, preferably in the research reagent market, is an asset
• Knowledge of purchasing process in academics, biotech and pharma accounts is preferable
• Good general computer knowledge
• Solid written and verbal communication skills in English
• Strong commitment to customer service
• Ability to work and communicate within a framework of people with different nationalities, functions, duties and responsibilities
